Sage's Grocery is a community grocery store, coffee, and sandwich shop concept based in Ann Arbor, MI. We’ll provide destination-worthy sandwiches and prepared foods, a great coffee and espresso program, organic produce, and elevated culinary products from the all of the best (local when possible) vendors available. We’ll have friendly service, Ann Arbor’s best baked goods, pantry essentials, and hard-to-find specialty items. In short, it’s going to be a go-to everyday resource for people that care about their food and drink.
The Products + Produce
Organic produce, crusty bread, aged cheeses, imported pastas, authentic asian sauces, fresh eggs and dairy, and an immaculate snack selection. In other words, the essentials, but also plenty of less-essential, can’t-stop-myself, more-than-occasional, splurge-worthy items too. Great wines will complement craft beers, and informative cards will guide customers in the right directions.
The Food
Here’s the thing: people don’t just want sandwiches. They need sandwiches. That’s what we’re here for. Our founder comes from a great food town (Chicago!), and he learned more than a few things in that department.

Breakfast:
Burrito - Eggs, Bacon, Spinach, Cheese, House Chipotle Sauce
Bagel Sandwich - Toasted Bagel, Philadelphia cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, red onion, capers, w/wo lox
Sandwiches on Specialty Italian Roll: 6” / 9” / 12”
Classic Italian - salami, mortadella, prosciutto, giardinera, lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, dijon, oil & vin dressing
Pistachio Pesto - fresh mozzarella, housemade pistachio pesto, arugula, tomato, shaved onions, choice of mortadella or prosciutto.
Turkey - roast turkey, provolone, crunchy pickles, lettuce or arugula, crispy fried onions, tangy remoulade
Italian Beef - thinly sliced roast beef in savory au jus, giardinera
Korean Melt - grilled chicken or thin sliced beef, sharp cheddar, kimchi, mayo, gochujang (korean chili paste)
Viet Bahn-mi - grilled chicken or tofu or thin sliced beef, pickled carrots and daikon radish, fresh cilantro, jalapeño, mayo, hoisin sauce
Oxacan Torta - Oxacan cheese, refried beans, avocado, cilantro, lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, salsa verde, grilled chicken or thin sliced beef optional
BLAT - bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, mayo

Deja Vin - finely chopped romaine, arugula, tomato, avocado, crunchy cucumbers, croutons, sharp cheddar, black beans, house lemon-dijon vinaigrette, w/wo grilled chicken breast
Asian Chicken - finely chopped romaine, cabbage, julienned carrots, avocado, slivered almonds, green onions, cilantro, crispy wonton strips, grilled chicken breast, house sesame-soy-thai-chili-vinaigrette
Caesar - crunchy romaine, parmesan, croutons, caesar dressing, w/wo grilled chicken breast
The Space
Functional, inviting, clean, and a few cool designerly touches, without fuss or pretension. Fresh produce and quality grocery products will entice from the shelves, while dedicated espresso / coffee and sandwich counters will be backed by friendly faces and straightforward menus. We’ll have a couple of window-fronted bars for hanging out inside, and outdoor tables along the sidewalk for when the weather is right.
